William A. Lynch started roofing operations in
Charlottesville, Virginia in 1939 and shortly thereafter founded the company that continues to proudly bear his name. Our longstanding ability to deliver the very best in roofing and custom sheet metal installations has enabled us to complete projects on many landmark buildings, including the Virginia State Capitol, Monticello and Morven Park.
In commercial roofing we were one of the first companies in Virginia to install EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) single ply roofing over 30 years ago. Our consistent success has lead to certification as a Carlisle ESP (Excellence in Single Ply) contractor every year since the designation was established in 1999. Today, we are at the forefront of energy conservation by using green technologies such as reflective TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin membrane) and garden roof systems.
In steep pitch and residential roofing we have extensive experience with traditional materials such as slate, tile, copper, zinc, TCS, prefinished metal and shingles. One of the best slate quarries in the world is Virginia’s Buckingham SlateŠ, a product our company has installed more than any other contractor. Our full service sheet metal shop enables us to fabricate and install virtually any type of metal.
With offices in Charlottesville and Lynchburg, we believe in taking care of our employees and our employees believe in taking care of our customers. The average tenure of our employees is over 15 years and includes some second and third generation family members. The combined management teams have over 150 years of roofing experience which provides a level of technical expertise and personal dedication unequaled in our industry.
