Wesley Ridge opened with Assisted Living in 1998 with 99 licensed residential care beds: Bishop Place having 61 studio and 1-bedroom apartments and 38 studio apartments in Memory Care (now named English Garden) making it one of the first assisted living facilities on the east side of Columbus. Wesley Ridge separated itself from others by offering 24 hour nursing, caregiving and receptionists and offering a variety of services that allowed residents of different care needs to pay for only those services needed or wanted. The program is designed to maximize quality of life by assisting with activities of daily living (ADL's) while allowing independence and choice. Assisted living provides 3 meals, medication administration, weekly housekeeping, life enrichment programs, emergency response call system, maintenance and security services. The facility also offers a beauty salon, Ice Cream Parlor and General Store, Chapel, Library, computer area and much more. Residents also have access to doctors and speech/physical/occupational therapists, laundry services, concierge services and x-ray and lab services. Rates are daily and billed amounts are based on the size of the apartment chosen and the level of care that is needed. Wesley Ridge Assisted Living is private pay with a limited number of Medicaid Waiver beds.
The campus also houses the Wesley Ridge Adult Day Care Services which was incorporated under the The Wesley Communities umbrella in the mid 1990's.
In 2001, Wesley Ridge opened the 16 independent Ridge Homes (10 are 2 bedroom and 6 are 1 bedroom) which are single-floor plans that allow seniors the independence of living in their own homes while affording them the opportunity to take advantage of amenities (meals, programs, emergency nursing services) that are available anywhere on the campus. The homes have one-car garages, fully equipped kitchens and washer and dryer hook-ups but don't have the worry of groundskeeping, home maintenance or housekeeping. Residents have emergency call pendants and their contracts allow for 10-free days of health care in any MES setting (assisted living, health care or memory care) or 20-days of Adult day care per year. Homes are rentals based on a one-time entrance fee (partially refundable) and monthly rental fees.
In 2005, Wesley Ridge opened Parkside, 90 independent living apartments of varying one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den, two-bedroom and two-bedroom with den floor plans. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens, laundry hook ups to promote the independence of the residents, but with the advantage of having access to meals, housekeeping, services of clinic nurse and emergency call pendant and all life enrichment programs as well as Chaplain support. Apartments are rentals with a one-time entrance fee (partially refundable) and then monthly fee based on size of apartment chosen.
In 2013 Wesley Ridge opened the final part of its continuum of care with a 25-bed facility licensed as a skilled nursing facility.
Wesley Ridge is affiliated with The Wesley Communities.
