Our practice has been working with patients in Matthews, NC (North Carolina), since 1990, and we've built our practice around the wonderful smiles we serve. Dr. Steven Dickens specializes in orthodontics and offers advanced treatment options, including self-ligating brackets, temporary anchorage devices (TADs), and Invisalign® invisible braces. Our team believes in making your treatment as fun and rewarding as possible. It is our goal to provide an atmosphere that makes you feel at home and at ease!

Star Orthodontics is known in the Matthews, South Charlotte, and Union County communities as the best office around for orthodontic care, and that has been the case for more than 25 years! Thanks for taking the time to check out our practice! My name is Dr. Steve Dickens, but you can call me Dr. D. I've been with Starr & Dickens Orthodontics since 2008 and I absolutely love creating beautiful, healthy smiles for my patients.
I received my DDS degree with Distinction in 2003 then completed my orthodontic residency and Master's degree all from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (go Tar Heels!). I truly love people and taking care of them, and I do everything possible to treat my patients and staff with kindness, respect, and compassion. I will always take the time to explain your treatment options or cover any questions or concerns you have, so please don't hesitate to ask.
