San Diego Smiles provides a full range of dental care services including same day emergency visits, cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers, children's and family dentistry, sedation, gentle cleanings, white fillings, orthodontics (Invisalign and braces) and CT guided dental implants. We accept most dental PPO insurances and are considered "in network" with Delta Dental, Principal, Aetna, Guardian, and Cigna Radius. Each team member strives to give our patients excellent dental care with excellent results. We have state of the art equipment including digital x rays (up to 80% less radiation), dental CT scanner, and Cerec one visit crowns.
History
Established in 1976.
Dr Krause started practicing dentistry in El Cajon in 1976. Dr Christensen took over the practice in 2013. The dental practice moved into a new facility with state of the art equipment near Parkway Plaza in March 2016.

Dr Christensen earned his dental degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2002 after earning his Bachelor's degree in cell and molecular biology from the University of Michigan.
Dr Christensen takes the time to answer your questions and always checks to make sure you are "not feeling it". He helps take the fear out of going to the dentist. He has a caring nature and a friendly personality.
Dr. Christensen and his wife Natalie have three sons, and in his spare time, he enjoys surfing, mountain biking, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, the beach, and exploring Southern California.
