Sammie's opened in 1964 out of a 6 x 10 trailer from an idea that Dominic Guinta had to keep his sons, Joe and Sam busy and out of trouble. That idea grew and quickly became a year-round shop in Chicago in 1970 and has expanded to four locations, and has turned into a lifetime endeavor for Joe and Sam along with our partners Dave, Tom and his wife Jeri, and my son Dominic. What hasn’t changed in more than 50 years is the authentic Chicago Style Hot Dogs and other Chicago Style Sandwiches we serve. Plus our commitment to quality, good service, and good value.
