The Law Offices of Michael J. Simon strive to listen to the needs and requirements of each client and to respond quickly, thoughtfully, and passionately. Another is to respond to phone calls and emails as soon as reasonably practical making sure that clients are kept apprised of the current status of their matters. Michael J. Simon, J.D. is a proven expert in the fields of real estate law and corporate transactions. As the founder of the Law Offices of Michael J. Simon, he has earned the reputation as an effective negotiator and thoughtful legal strategist who is deeply committed to protecting the rights and interests of all his clients.
Michael graduated cum laude in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College. He then went on to receive a Masters Degree from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs in 1980, and earned his Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law in 1984. Michael is a member in good standing of the Real Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, the Committee on Condominiums and Cooperatives, the American Bar Association, and the ABA Section on Business Law. Before opening his own practice, Michael worked as an associate at Eisenberg Honig and Fogler, concentrating in the areas of real estate and equipment syndication. He began his career as an insurance agent at The Equitable.
Michael was born and raised in Westchester County, where he continues to reside with his wife and family.

For over twenty years, Lillian Garel has been an integral part of The Law Offices of Michael J. Simon, providing key support in all legal areas of the firm. Skillful and responsive, Lilly is uniquely adept at meeting deadlines, ensuring timely execution of each case at the firm. This, along with her impeccable attention to detail, translates into fewer billable client hours and greater productivity on the part of our attorneys.
Her long-standing relationships with many of the firm’s clients add an important ‘personal touch’ to the way Lilly conducts business. This connection resonates throughout all of her responsibilities including assisting clients and lenders with loans, managing the overall mortgage process, compiling closing figures, and meeting the necessary insurance requirements for smooth condo and co-op approvals.
A Notary Public, Lilly is also an excellent proofreader with a strong background in legal finance. She graduated from Pace University in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in General Accounting.
