Being avid players and long-time fans of the sport, the DeSimone Family recognized a void in the market for quality lacrosse gear that could be customized for each player. In November 1990, they opened the first lacrosse-only specialty retail store on Long Island in Hauppauge, New York. Word quickly spread in the close-knit lacrosse community about Lacrosse Unlimited's impeccable customer service, one-of-a-kind custom-dyed and strung lacrosse heads, and an unparalleled assortment of equipment and apparel. Due to popular demand, a second store opening in East Meadow, New York quickly thereafter, and today the fleet stands 44 strong.
