Nearly 200 years old, the Fireside Inn’s original structure was constructed in the 1860s and was occupied by the Fletchers, one of the first families to ever settle in the magical town of Breckenridge. Eli Fletcher became a well-known business owner and ski maker. The next family thought to occupy the inn was the Curtains, with two generations living in the home before it was boarded up in 1960. Seven years later, it was purchased by the Wamsleys, who opened the original structure as an antique shop and added on to the rear of the home for living quarters.
