The original Carol & Company was opened by Carol Grigson and began in a 300 square foot store in Fredericksburg, VA in 2002 and then moved to Waco, TX until 2009. Carol has since retired but continues to be involved as a consultant, friend, "Grammie", and biggest cheerleader. The Carol & Company Chicago branch was started by myself, Ruth Grigson, in 2005 after I took an interest in my Mother in-law’s gift business.
After Carol closed the shop in TX, I continued Carol & Company as an online retailer. Several years and two kids later, Carol and Company opened its flagship store on June 1st, 2013 in Barrington, IL. My hope is every time you visit our shop in-store or online, you find something new and fresh. I am constantly adding products and on the hunt for something unique to add to the shop. We love finally being able to meet our customers in person and offer them a smile and the story behind the products. Please come visit us...we'd love to meet you!
